Bran

When we are considering cereal grains and what those are made of, there is one thing that we must not forget about and that is the outer layer. This tough outer layer is called bran and exists as an integral part of whole grains and is the real nutritional value in any whole-grain that is milled including rice, wheat, maize, oats, and millet. As a dietary fiber, rich in starch and vitamins and dietary minerals and proteins bran also has a large quantity of fat so you should be aware of that. However with bran in all sorts of things from muffins to breads to cereals and more there is a vibrant and very much alive scene when it comes to the bran that people enjoy.

Bran is readily available in wide variety of incarnations and people eat and enjoy bran regularly; it is often propagated by doctors and by advertisers that if you enjoy bran regularly your bowels will be enjoyed regularly. While there is some truth to this there is also some truth to the fact that if you eat well and exercise the same will happen so making positive lifestyle changes is probably the over arching theme in this argument rather than just eating bran.

With that said there are a great number of different types of bran where you can eat. If you think you might like to try bran muffins these are very fine and interesting type of muffin for your own enjoyment and they are very popular among just about everyone who enjoys them. If you need a recipe for bran muffins and you can most assuredly get that from grandma's cookbook, and books and magazines that deal in the realm of baking or off of the Internet. The World Wide Web has made us best friends in so many different ways you and bran muffin recipes are no different.

There are a couple of different types of bran cereal which are very popular including Wheat Bran, Raisin Bran, and All Bran. All three of these cereals are very popular and inclusive of the bran which is too many so important.

Many people like to try different things and oat bran those things that many people enjoy. While some people are concerned that there may be gluten in oat bran that is an argument that is best left up to the manufacturer. If they want to reveal the fact there should be gluten or not in their literature then they will do so.
