Green Tea
While here in the West many people have drank black tea only for many years, a new and more if you are and actually much more old variant of tea, “pure” tea, green tea has been put into the mix in a much larger way. There are all sorts of myths floating around about green tea and its health benefits and is difficult to prove or disprove these claims as there has not been enough research done but the program exists as always had and people hold on to whatever they believe in this is the way it will be until they are proven otherwise.
The health benefits of green tea have not been validated by science and therefore they are not allowed any credence in the western communities ideas of what is real and what is not real but they are still claims which are followed and obeyed to an extent. Green tea has been credited with stopping such degenerative neurological diseases as Parkinson's disease and even Alzheimer's. Green tea has also been credited with preventing or treating cancer and multiple sclerosis. Green tea has been given the task of preventing degradation of cell membranes by eliminating the spread of free radicals and green tea has been made to reduce the negative effects of the bad cholesterol (LDL) which exists in food and raising the good cholesterol (HDL). While all these are fine examples, you may just be that healthy people drink green tea. It's hard to thrust all that responsibility onto one little drink though I'm sure if any of the potential individual persons who spoke out at you about this originally were to tell you what they thought about their experience with green tea it would be completely convincing of a make a lot of sense to many people.
Green tea extract is another way of getting the green tea without drinking the green tea as the Green tea flavor is definitely an acquired taste. It's tough to say that if the extract is more pungent than the tea itself because again the research is very sketchy but there you are: a wide variety of ways to drink green tea including actual bagged green tea, Lipton Green tea, Arizona Green tea, or taking the extract supplements.
While no one can say for sure what the health benefits of green tea are or are not, green tea drinking and a regular bases represents a lifestyle shift and that can only be heralded as a good thing so if you all are interested in finding out more about green tea you should certainly do the research and see what you can locate but you should not go into any diet blindly and hoping that just something so simple as drinking green tea will solve all your problems.
